Break the silence ...........

I've not blogged since last week!

What has happened you may ask?

We are busier here than at home!

We have fond thoughts of home & our dear loved ones, thank you too to the ones who've sent messages, posted comments, 'whatsapp' ed, or skyped (keep it up).

Be assured we really love it here & our little routine of service everyday from early in the morning through till lunch time suits us & the people are available so it's easy to preach & it's purposeful, and the congregation is outstanding, but we will be back in Midsomer Norton eventually.

SERVICE

We took on an assignment to work 5th & 6th Calle, identifying those Hotels & Hostels willing to accept on a monthly basis our monthly magazines, also to take note of a named contact in each premises for follow up. I suppose at home we might call this type of ministry 'business territory'.

We completed those Calles (have you looked at an Antigua street map, or checked out the satelite pictures on jw.org showing the congregations geographical position & street grid design) this morning & in doing so placed the November Watchtower & Awake issues with most of the businesses. This method of identifying, logging & expanding the English Territory was refered to as a good work by the Co-ordinator. The congregation take seriously their assigned area, and love their work. The sister I worked alongside this morning always has the most attractive demenure; her spirituality shines out! They are a joyful bunch! They are reaping rich rewards - Jehovah's blessing shows.

Nina (in full time service - years) here  on her roof top terrace .... Wow - I want one!!

The Kingdom News Tract distribution is ongoing too, and we share in that at every opportunity.

We'd previously located a man called 'N' who works in a sports bar we'd left him our campaign tract, and as we turned back towards our rented house it was coming up to lunch time today (Wednesday 13th) we wanted to carry through on service till we got to our house so we kept on the watch for witnessing opportunities (that means eyes ' n ears open for English speakers). Anyhow, N was at the street entrance to his business premises, so here was that opportunity! N said he'd pondered the questions on the tract but wasn't in a position to make up his mind as he had a lot to contend with in his personal life. He said he did pray, so that presented an opening to show the verse in the scriptures that says, 'Jehovah has a book of remembrance written before him for those ..... meditating on his name', that when his servants on earth dwell in bible truths & ponder godly matters - the creator of the universe is interested & listens in. We encouraged him to continue to ponder & made arrangements for another conversation.

Lunch was great, we finished compiling our lists of Hotels/Hostels to Gand in tomorrow, the afternoon sun was fine, Ian had brought Dalton coffee beans of the finest type, grade 1 & we ground some and drank smooth, fresh, sweet to the taste pure coffee.

Now, in a moment I am going to post pictures from Mondays outing, the connection?? Coffee!! What else .......
